Rochester Team Brings Easter to the Ronald McDonald House

The longer days and gradual melting of the snow usually indicates that summer is slowly approaching for most, but for IRET’s Residential Property Management staff of Rochester, this means it’s time for helping those in need.

For the past eight years, Community Managers around the Rochester area have helped make Easter feel like it should for the children at the local Ronald McDonald house by bringing baskets of goodies to those staying at the house. This year the IRET staff handed out a total of 42 baskets, one for each family staying at the facility this holiday season, so they could still experience some of the comforts of the Easter Holiday while being away from home.

The staff rolled up in the Quarry Ridge shuttle van ready to spread some cheer with the reason for all those eggs not far behind. In the past, one lucky Community Manager was picked to dress up as Peter Cottontail, but this year Mike Booher, a maintenance technician from Heritage Manor, decided to “ear up” and hop around and take pictures with the kids. As you can see from the pictures, it looks like he succeeded in matching the high standards set by bunnies before.

Regional Manager Judine Hills echoed the comments from last year, mentioning how her staff loves doing this every year to help the families get through this most difficult time in their lives. As always, the families were extremely appreciative for the baskets, noting how nice it was to have someone take the time to remember them during the holiday season.
The Rochester area staff is already looking forward to next year’s event, which is sure to be just as successful as past events. Just another way IRET employees make a difference our communities.
